Had more fun at this years Chicago Auto Show. Check out pictures of some of the cool cars that were on display. And yeah, the Toyota FJ Cruiser was there and I went a little nuts with the photos. - Spring 2006 in Northern Illinois
Spring started out cooler than normal and continued that way for a while. Once everyone started to grouse, the weather turned nicer, but not consistently. Right now, we’re in a period of gray, rainy days - is this the Midwest monsoon? - Brookfield Zoo - May 2006
May is a great time of year to visit the zoo - the chill is (normally) out of the air but the weather isn’t too hot. The animals are a fairly active and not wilted by the heat. A good time was had by all. Enjoy the pictures! - Chicago Architectural Tour
My daughter’s class took a field trip to Chicago today. They rode on the Chicago River and heard all about the architectural wonders of Chicago. While the weather wasn’t the best, my daughter snapped some pretty good shots. It’s OK with her if I share them here. - Midwest Clouds - 2006 version

Images from both Saturday and Sunday events. Covering the encampments, special events and the Sautrday skirmish and the big battle on Sunday. The weather was great and the re-emactors put on a hell of a show. Also check out the videos of the cannons firing from the Saturday Skirmish. - The Grove’s Civil War Days
