- Max’s First Birthday
Here are some images from Max’s first birthday open house. - March Madness
March was nuts. We started out the month with various family and Girl Scout activities. We had a visit from baby Max and his cousins had lots of fun. My son and I traveled into Chicago to take in a Blackhawks game - it was fun even though they lost. We also survived a pretty cold Easter parade and suffered through another significant snow. Yes, we had a white Easter. - February 2008

My lovely wife celebrated her birthday and my daughter and I attended another Daddy/Daughter date night dance. Last but not least, my Alaska relations came down for a visit - only to step headlong into one of the worst snowstorms in recent memory. We visited the Museum of Science & Industry to go to the Star Wars exhibit that was running. We were lucky to get tickets as late as we did. The whole show was sold out soon after we got our tickets. - Christmas 2007
Christmas was a little different for use this year. We did our family visits prior to the Christmas Day, leaving us with a day at home for the holiday.

We met at Check E Cheese in Rockford for some fun close to the holidays. - Cubmobile 2007
Our little guy raced down the hill on Saturday and had a pretty big crash. Watch the video to see what happened. After he and his friend rode, the car broke. Luckily, they were the only ones from our den that raced. Next year, we’ll build a new car, not re-use the one from the previous year! - Washington D.C. - Aug. 2007
A whirlwind tour of specific sites in Washington D.C. allowed our little group to see some interesting things. The kids got to see the White House, the Capitol building and most of the monuments. The pictures capture most of the places we visited. My legs still ache to think of all the walking we did. - Trip to Virginia - Aug. 2007

The females in our family participated in the local American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event. For my wife, it was her fourth time; it was my daughter’s first time. From 6 PM to 6 AM they walked along with a host of others. Go here for more information about the Relay for Life - Fun with Son Camping
After the Fourth of July, the family went camping at the local Boy Scout camp for the Fun with Son camping event. Though the camping trip started out really, really buggy, we soon adapted and had some fun. Fishing, BB guns and archery were big hits. The food that was provided wasn’t that good, so we bugged out early and header for McDonald’s for breakfast. Boy, it was sure nice to sleep in our own beds once we returned. - Disney 2007
